REGARDING THE STATION BELOW: Saturday 7AM-10/11AM (FIRST Airing) (SECOND Airing - Monday: 7PM-10/11PM) **3-Hour Shows END At 10AM And 4-Hour Shows END At 11AM** **Station Plays 3-Hour Shows From July 1970-Sep 1978 And COMPLETE 4-Hour Shows From Oct 1978-Dec 1979** WWSF FM/AM 104.3 FM/1220 AM Seacoast Oldies - '60s * '70s * '80s Portland/Sanford ME/Exeter/Portsmouth NH to At40 the 70s It appears they have either dropped the first hour of the 4 hour shows, or they are starting them an hour earlier, I don't know which. I checked during the 9am eastern hour and they were on the final hour. Should have only been on hour 3 if they started at 7am. Last time or two they played a late 78 or a 79 show was the same. I may try to email them to find out what's changed but if anyone knows anything, please post. EDIT: Checked recording, they definitely started with hour 2. Previous to AT40 the 70s was a Yacht Rock Radio show. Dropped them a email thru their website...will see if anyone replies. Also tried to call them using their request line but got a machine that answered and put me on hold, and after holding a few minutes noone ever picked up. *** NOTE: NEW UPDATE TO THIS ABOUT 5 POSTS DOWN. Looks like it was a temporary problem and they plan to continue to carry all 4 hours when there is a 4 hour 70's show!  |

**UPDATE** WWSF - Sanford, ME
I got a reply that had gone into my spam from Seacoast Oldies (WWSF, Sanford ME). I posted a message on 06/01/24 stating it looked like they had dropped hour 1 of the 4 hour 70's shows. They had dropped the first hour that week
of a 4 hour 70's show and I thought that they had previously done that a time or two prior when there had been a 4 hour 70s show. I emailed the station and didn't realize they had replied until I started going through my spam folder and found a reply from their Program Director - here's what it said:
"Thank you for your email and the question about AT40-The 70's. Normally we will add a fourth hour to AT 40 when they run a late 78 or 79 show. The last time they ran one from that era (a few weeks ago), they neglected to send us the extra hour and we didn't discover that until it was too late. We have those extra hour weeks specially noted going forward and will check to make sure we have the full program before airing the show."
So, I wanted to pass this along. Good news that they're planning to continue
with 4 hour shows - always glad for more stations that carry all 4 hours!
